Initial Response to Brief

After receiving the 'Publishing Spaces' brief, it was very apparent to me that this project would work very well with a project I had completed in the past (a non-uni related project). The idea was to create a music publication that I use to show off my film photography and at the same to give local London bands the expose some of them needed/deserved. My essay was titled 'Plagiarism and intellectual property in modern music -The degrees of acceptability of use of previous material', so it also worked in respect to the idea that it would serve a purpose towards my Unit 7 Essay assignment.

I created a Zine called 'Lost and Found' which was an 16 page, A5 publication printed on a cream A4 80gsm paper stock.

My Idea for this Project...

Would be to continue with this idea. However massively expand upon it and improve the overall quality, end product and see if I can improve an idea that I initially started out pure creative interest. Applying skills and techniques that will learn and develop from the online tutorials and lectures throughout the rest of the term.

Here's some photos of the development process, whilst I was producing the publication. I also tried an alternative process where I screen-printed and copies. However my intention was to produce high quantities of the publication and circulate them for free (I soon realised screen-printing wasn't going to be the most effective process of doing this).
